Drywall Repairs

  1. Preparation: Clean the damaged area, removing any loose debris.
  2. Patch the Hole: For small holes, use a patch kit. For larger holes, cut a piece of drywall to fit and secure it with drywall screws.
  3. Apply Joint Compound: Spread joint compound over the patch, feathering the edges. Let it dry.

Taping

  1. Apply Tape: Place drywall tape over the seams. For corners, use corner bead tape.
  2. Second Coat: Apply a thin layer of joint compound over the tape, blending it smoothly with the wall. Let it dry and sand lightly.

Painting

  1. Prime the Surface: Use a primer to cover the repaired area to ensure even paint absorption.
  2. Paint: Apply paint with a brush or roller in even strokes. Two coats may be necessary.
